three gîtes a barn an "orangerie"…
Description
This magnificent medieval century château partially restored and very well maintained by the owners is sold with several dependancies. The park, also in very good condition, offers a swimming pool.
The historic 12th century building was the property of the Peyré (altered to Peyrer by Jean-Armand du Peyrer) family during the period of the musketeers and the family?s coat of arms is in evidence throughout. The historic mullioned windows are also characteristic of Henri de Navarre?s, later Henry IV, château in Pau. Indeed all the original features including the oak panelling, large stone fireplaces have been lovingly maintained by the present owners.
The château provides an entrance hall, three large reception rooms, a dining room, kitchen, ten bedrooms (two with bathrooms en suite), dressing room, independent bathroom, independent shower room (to be completed), two independent WCs, utility room, conservatory and cellar.
The property includes six separate outbuildings including three gîtes, a barn, an "orangerie" and an old farmhouse.
The heating of the chateau is provided by a gas boiler and 18 fireplaces are all in good working order.
What a fantastic historic property excellently presented. So well placed The seaside and big towns are within an hour from here. Winter sports in the Pyrénées are a couple of hours in the other direction ! Enjoy the local villages, the foods, especially the cheeses, the wine and the markets where you will find fresh local produce to fit all taste. Very popular tourist spot with many famous sites, airports, trains and motorways are all within one hour's drive.
