Description
An Exclusive, Sunny Ridge-Top 4-Bed Designer House With Unforgettable Mountain & Jungle Views Only 8 Minutes from Uvita and 13 Minutes from Marino Ballena NP – PLUS an Option to Also Buy an Adjoining 2-Plantel Property!
THE LOCATION
Situated in the upper reaches of the sought-after Union Road address, this property straddles a ridge over 250 meters above the nearby resort town of Uvita. But you wouldn’t know it as the house looks onto the seemingly endless mountain, valley and rainforest vistas that stretch to the east, mere foothills of the towering 4000-meter Cordillera Central range…so the vibe of the home is a true ‘middle of nowhere Costa Rica’ feeling that is only betrayed by knowing that a few minutes’ drive will bring you to the exclusive cafes, classy restaurants, boutique shops, supermarkets, surf schools, vibrant tourist beaches, doctors, dentists, lawyers and all the other services and amenities of Uvita.
THE HOUSE - OVERVIEW
This house is built with total comfort & style in mind. As the ridgetop location benefits from a beautiful FULL DAY’S worth of sunshine, an overhanging white roof and superb insulation keep the home cool while reliable mountain breezes bless with their fresh mountain air, nature’s air-conditioning. An outdoor patio, with exquisite décor and a sunny infinity pool, creates a focal point of the space. The infinity pool features floating steps and meticulously crafted blue & gray marble tile finish – a perfect pairing for its refreshingly cool waters.
The property is accessed via a gravel driveway which connects to a prepared public road. The lower level of the home holds a 2-car carport, additional parking areas, a laundry room, and a single bedroom with an ensuite. Upstairs are the three additional bedrooms, a large kitchen / dining / lounge area, swimming pool & patio, and additional parking. The upper master bedroom includes an enuite, extra high ceilings and access to both common & private patios while the two other bedrooms & the house share two common baths. All four bedrooms have beautiful views, open directly to the outside via patio doors & hold plentiful storage and all rooms & areas of the house are air-conditioned and feature marble floor tile.
THE HOUSE - INTERIOR & EXTERIOR
The home’s bright and airy atmosphere is unmissable – and the line between ‘outside’ and ‘inside’ is absolutely blurred! The upstairs kitchen and three bedrooms open directly towards the patio and infinity pool area, their sliding glass doors flawlessly blending the rooms into the exterior entertainment & relaxation space. From there, beyond the glass barrier, the land falls steeply towards the nearby river valley while the jungle-covered mountains and their upper cloud forests provide a living tropical background. Plentiful outside seating, poolside lounges and a BBQ will ensure this will be the most popular corner of the house – the sheer beauty and meticulous design of the space is impossible to convey.
The designer teak furniture and finishings bring an impressive touch of high class – the lumber beds, tables, shelving, doors, partitions and cabinets are a work of art in themselves, boldly gracing every room, nook and cranny of the home. A large and fully equipped kitchen / dining / lounge area with her teak furnishings, single-piece marble and lumber tables, designer overhead lamps and thoughtful décor could easily grace the pages of an architectural digest magazine. And worthy of mention is the master bedroom ensuite - its floor of marble tile and white pebble fill is unlike anything you have seen before, a dreamlike space where you pick between a drenching monsoon shower or a soak in the beautiful windowside bathtub that is, in itself, a masterpiece of design.
THE SETTING
The soaring coastal mountains are the stars of the property - in the summer their vibrant tropical slopes stand in stark contrast to the deep blue sky and brilliantly white fair-weather clouds. The green season brings towering waterfalls that descend their nearly vertical slopes. Just below the property a mountain river cuts a steep channel on its way to the nearby Pacific. Such a proximity to nature will surely bring a lot of jungle wildlife to your doorsteps – monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, anteaters, coatis, brilliant blue morpho butterflies and many other critters will be your new tropical neighbors. And just 13 minutes away is Marino Ballena National Park, a world famous surfing, whale watching & SCUBA destination, but there is also adventure tourism, shopping, fine dining, beach-hopping and exciting nightlife to be found!
WATER
Legal Water is a big deal in our area – and this property excels with an enclosed 7,500 liter water tank which easily supplies the current needs and is sufficient to service another similarly-sized property. The tank is refreshed by an underground pipe which brings pristine, crystal clear mountain river water for all household use.
THE OTHER PROPERTY
An 4.33 acre lot, located immediately below, is also for sale. This lot contains two large plantels with the current owner holding confirmed plans for the construction of a luxury 4-bedroom house with a pool and ample parking. This property also has a valid Legal Water letter and direct walking access to the mountain river and waterfall – as well as the same spectacular views of the coastal mountains, jungles, and river valleys.
Such a stunning, bright, beautifully decorated designer home, with billion-dollar views and an easy 5 minutes from Uvita, is an offer like no other in the local area. And I am not even mentioning the option of combining this space with the empty lot located immediately below. Call RE/MAX to schedule a viewing because a property like this HAS TO BE SEEN to be fully appreciated!
