Description
High above the Pacific, where the emerald ridges of Escaleras embrace the sea, stands Acqua Blu, a residence unlike any other in Costa Rica. Completed in 2025, this architectural masterpiece marries block, steel, stone, and glass in perfect harmony, a vision of modern elegance set within the raw beauty of the jungle.
A Grand Entrance
A custom pivoting steel door opens to a shimmering pond water feature, a tranquil prelude to the wonders within. The floating staircase, masterfully crafted elevates you into the expansive residence. From the moment you step inside, the villa reveals its artistry: entire walls of custom fabricated minimalist glass retract to erase boundaries, uniting the refined interiors with the sweeping deck, the infinity-edge saltwater pool, and the endless horizon of the Pacific Ocean.
Crafted Perfection
Every surface tells a story of excellence. Spanish anti-slip tile floors provide elegance and comfort underfoot. Electric custom shades move with quiet precision. At night, an LED lighting system transforms the home into a constellation of light, glowing softly against the rainforest backdrop.
Private Sanctuaries
Five-bedroom suites, each with its own five-piece bathroom, are retreats of serenity, where every window captures both ocean and jungle. From the canopy, toucans call. Scarlet macaws flash their wings in the sky. Here, every awakening is a moment in nature’s theater.
Indulgence & Wellness
Acqua Blu was built not only for living, but for thriving:
· A chef’s kitchen with Invisacook induction and double stainless refrigerators.
· A lounge and bar with billiards, rivaling the finest private clubs.
· A wellness center with gym, cold plunge, steam, and sauna.
· A 360° infinity pool and 10-person jacuzzi, finished with imported natural stones from Indonesia.
· A sunken fire pit for fifteen, where flames rise against the vast night sky.
Masterfully Appointed
No expense was spared. Every piece of furniture was custom made in Costa Rica and Bali, with materials and fabrics chosen to endure the climate of the Southern Pacific. The villa is crowned with a standing seam insulated steel roof, built strong against rain and sun alike. Lush gardens, both inside and out, bring nature into every corner of the home, including a soaring second-level atrium.
A Rare Jewel
Set on 5,500 m² (1.36 acres), with a villa of 13,000 sq ft Acqua Blu is more than a home. It is a stage for nine months of sunsets each year, a sanctuary alive with birds, monkeys, and the rhythms of the jungle. The ideal elevation of 1300 feet ensures year round breezes and sets the stage for the most magical vistas.
It is a one-of-a-kind estate — perhaps the most beautiful in Costa Rica, and one of the few in the world that unites so many rare luxuries under one roof. A place where nature and design are not divided, but seamlessly whole.
