Description
The villa Corazon de la Selva is as majestic as the jungle where it is set. On approach, this new, luxury home is beautifully framed by the wooded environment - distinct and aptly placed. Perched on a ridge overlooking the Pacific, Corazon de la Selva commands soul-restoring ocean views. Its floor-to-ceiling windows invite the wilderness in and charge the interiors with natural energy while beckoning refreshing breezes throughout. Designed in the NeoTropical modern style by architect Eric Bogantes of ALIANZ, it uses concrete and glass in perfect proportion. The rooms are expansive yet never overwhelm, instead they embrace, comfort and inspire.
The grandest space is the primary living area with a cathedral ceiling of almost three stories encased in floor-to-ceiling windows conjuring the sensation of being seated within the canopy. This room is steps down from the main floor and leads out to a deck bordered by a Balinese-tiled wraparound pool effectively blurring the boundaries between inside and out.
Just past the pool and down a few stairs, is a separate guest suite located outside the main house. This mini apartment includes a bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette and is perfect for guests that may want a bit more privacy from the gang.
The principal kitchen and dining area, all open concept, is on the main floor - a mezzanine that looks out over the principal living room and pool to the jungle beyond. Once again, with open views on three sides, this kitchen is a dream come true for anyone who loves to cook or loves to have a chef to cook for them. It will be equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and amenities. Also found on the main level is a large bedroom with ensuite bath and personal deck, ideal for anyone with less mobility or simply uninterested in climbing steps to the bedrooms upstairs. Just past the main entrance is a separate housekeeper's quarters.
On the upper floor are 3 great bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, adjoined by a large deck facing the ocean, ensuring ample space and enjoyment for family and guests. As the home is at an elevation of over 500 meters above sea-level, the view is dazzling. Also occupying the upper floor, is a gorgeous office with its own balcony, a generous gym and the second living room, adding variety to the social spaces available.
Throughout this architectural tour-de-force are several examples of indoor/outdoor living design, such as the vast yoga deck above the separate guest suite that faces the ocean. The property incorporates beautiful, maintenance free modern wood composite walkways weaving through the landscaped grounds, where gardens and garden seating are placed throughout the property.
Complimenting the 360 degree views of nature, the architect has selected a natural palate of rich, deep and mottled browns, greys and creams to emulate wood and stone tones. Accents of black and azur finish the look with an energy that remains sophisticated. No expense has been spared in the creation of this outstanding home.
Cradled in the prestigious community of Escaleras, high above Dominical but within an easy 20-minute drive.
Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of paradise where architectural brilliance meets natural beauty. Your dream home awaits in Escaleras - where luxury knows no bounds.
