History of the Villa
Own a piece of history with this stunning 15th-century villa in Tuscany.
This incredible property was once one of the watchtowers guarding the road that connected Florence and Siena. It was built in the 15th century and then immediately reworked and altered in the 16th century to reflect the new Renaissance style. Over the years, the villa has been owned by several notable families, including the Del Buono, Buonaccorsi, and Marsili families. In the second half of the 17th century, the villa was part of the possessions of the Buontalenti family, descendants of the famous architect Bernardo.
In the early 1900s, the villa was restored and the tower on top of the building demolished to bring the manor back to its 16th century look. All the renovations were carried out using original materials and accurate reproductions made by qualified artisans.
The southern façade, overlooking the elegant Italian garden, still features the original sundial with the writing Horas Tibi Serenas etched upon it (May your hours be peaceful).
This villa is a truly unique and special property. It is a piece of history that has been lovingly restored and preserved. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Italian countryside. The villa is also within easy reach of all the major cities of Tuscany, making it the perfect base for exploring this beautiful region.

The vineyards (1.5 ha) fall inside the Chianti Classico production area, but the estate doesn't produce wine, selling grapes instead. Use and Potential Uses
This beautiful property is currently generating income as a guest accommodation, with the second floor split into two apartments with independent access. The presence of internal staircases between the floors would also allow joining the building back into a single, elegant manorial house.
The agricultural production is currently managed by a third party, but the outbuilding could be converted into a cellar with processing, winemaking and bottling rooms. This would allow you to produce your own wine and olive oil, which you could sell or use to generate additional income.
